This is a subjective list on to top 40 >>hottest<< female video game characters. Not a list of "inspirations to women all around the world" (lol) or a list of the most "immersive". The new Lara, for which most can agree on, is no where near as "hot" as the classic. In my opinion, she belongs lower on the list.
"Women are beautiful and to look at them for just fits is pathetic.
Not any of my girlfreinds ever d...
"that is not what female link supprters like myself mean"
Except, that's what many of them DO mean. Especially these "journalist" who merely want it just to push an agenda. Many of these guys would rather a female lead the game regardless if it's a simple gender swap, Zelda herself or an entirely different character. Even if it means taking Link out of the picture. Which ever it is, to them, there just HAS to be a female lead.

"B-B-But don't worry, Feminists & SJWs aren't trying to take your games away!"
If GamerGate taught us anything, it's that gamers still have a battle on their hands and that it is far from over. The opponents just look different. First it was the Far Right, now the Far Left. And the media, be it our own industry's "journalist" or the mainstream, are not above doing some of the most unethical practices known to humanity just to push an...
Gotta admit, it's starting to grow on me since they've first revealed its early images.
I'm just hoping Orochi and the Hakkesshu will be tied to the story somehow. I know, not likely, but I miss using Yashiro. Maybe next game..... ('~' )
Controversy?
The man isn't obligated to defend wanting to keep Link male. His reasoning could have consisted of him singing the theme song of Two and a Half Men. Big deal.
Why are some acting as though the franchise would be on the verge of dying or that it's such a MASSIVE disappointment if there is no female lead for it? What is with this almost fetish-like obsession for this idea that I'm seeing from these so-called "journalist" a...
*sigh* I've never understood why some feel Link just has to be a female. Honestly, more than any other character in gaming, I've seen this ridiculously hard push to gender-bend Link as if "it's about time" or some crap. If they decide they want to keep him male for the next 100 year and so on, that's fine. I've yet to see a compelling argument for changing him, so I guess my major questions to these people would have to be:
1. Why is it such a ...
Song of Storms is a personal all time favorite.
There you go again with this absurd assumption via over-analyzation. Once again, looking through a rad-fem lens. There is no concrete evidence to prove any of what you or Jafffe are saying is fact. Discrimination? Male Supremacist Ideas? Belittling Women? WHERE!? They just opening their shirts and posing for a prom photo.
"Them standing there holding their chests is flawless inclusion? really?"
In the context of that this IS A SPECIFICALLY THEMED PROM PHO...
Misogyny is hatred and/or distrust of women. Where in the hell in this photo displays such?
Just because you THINK it is trying to send some twisted message to a group, doesn't mean it is. And by the looks of it, it just seems like you are overthinking it way too much through a rad-fem's lens. The girls revealing the boy's hero symbols clearly is a reference to Superman's iconic gesture while they are taking a heroic pose themselves. It's flawless way of...
Indeed. The argument at the time was that it would NEVER pass 1m. I saw nothing about how long it would take to get to it's current number. That was everywhere from youtube to n4g and every other gaming community out there. Those goalposts, huh? *shrugs*
Anyway, good on it. Hopefully it was profitable.
Had a blast getting 100% on the PS3 version. Now working on the 2nd.
JEEEEEESUS! What did I just!? (Q_Q ')
MY EYES!
DoA5 is already out. I would say, at this point, they are merely supporting it for money, considering there is like $500 worth of DLC available......... <_< And not to mention, that is a fighting game. A different mindset was likely at play considering it DoAX is mainly a fanservice game.
You don't know what is going on in that company, and neither do I. However, there is no evidence that this is a marketing ploy. There is more evidence to the contrary if you use lo...
Manufactured? Based on what?
If they wanted to bank on this game, logically speaking, this was far from the best way to do it. Not to mention the Xtreme series sold more in the US than their home region. And let's not pretend there would not be a slew of articles ranting over how "sexist" the game is, should it have made its way over to the west. Some are still, to this day, frothing at the mouth over their last installment in the series. Oh, and Play-Asia did r...
To Kale:
"Are you saying all "smaller" problems should be ignored until the larger ones are fixed?"
Except, this isn't/shouldn't be a problem to begin with. If certain people don't like the games, they shouldn't but it. And what is so "sexist" about wanting to see virtual boobs? Honestly, I bet you NO ONE will go on tirade and try get laws passed for something like "Magic Mike: The Game".
And as ...
"Though I found no evidence of a coordinated effort to campaign against Dead or Alive Xtreme’s release."
Why don't you ask Play-Asia for their take on that statement.
But honestly, when you've created an environment that's going to shame and lambaste a game for purely being about fan-service, a coordinated effort is hardly needed to scare away devs & publishers with certain content in their games. And the author has a lot of nerve pr...
Indeed. What the hell is the age-gate there for if you aren't allowed to put up certain mature content? It also seems rather hypocritical of their policy when there videos on the site showing brutal anime death scenes, but sexual content is where they draw the line?
Lol This guy's a riot. But I do agree with him on that voting system. In my opinion, they should have given the game more time if it meant we saw the full cast of characters.
Indeed. And it's a crying shame many are willing to throw away credibility and ethics for the sake of pushing a narrative or agenda.
Great read, I doubt it will stay up though. Mods like to delete/"fail" articles that are pro-GG ( or at least paint them in a positive/neutral light ) as "non-gaming related", even though it easily fits in the Culture & Industry sections. Lol
Screen Captured!
A "lunatic", as you put it, would just find other means for murder, with or without a gun. Also, the woman was 16 at the time of the crime. Last I check, in the state of Georgia, that's not of legal age to even be carrying a firearm, therefore, she was not a legal gun owner.
She went outside the law to obtain it.
